Laura Bordeaux (Denver, CO)

Laura’s experience as a former collegiate swimmer, marathon runner, triathlete, and adventure racer, combined with her experience as a personal trainer and fitness instructor, has resulted in a versatile perspective on fitness that she strives to both embody and implement with each client: fitness is a holistic and “wholistic” lifestyle that should encompass an equal balance of dedication to training, rehabilitation/ injury prevention, and nutrition. Since graduating from the University of Virginia, Laura’s experience has ranged from working for the United Nations, to working for the State Department, to training military personnel for deployment, creating and launching programs for fitness clubs, 3 years as a cycling instructor for Flywheel Sports, and working for a myriad of other clubs across the country. Tonya Butler-Collins (Daphne, AL)

Tonya Butler-Collins has been a fitness professional since 1994, when she attended the Army Master Fitness Trainer School. Before she entered the United States Army in 1990, she was a competitive gymnast and softball player competing in state competitions. She is a certified strength and conditioning specialist as well as a personal trainer and a licensed medical massage therapist. Tonya owned and operated De Novo Fitness Systems from 1997 to 2007. Tonya is now the owner and COO of Dynamic Therapeutics, LLC, specializing in mobility and rehabilitative teaching for athletes and special populations in Daphne, Alabama. She taught as an assistant professor of exercise science at the University of North Georgia in Gainesville, GA for eight years and currently teaches sports science at the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, AL. Tonya is a Master Trainer for Twist®, teaching seminars for universities in sport conditioning. She is also a Master Trainer for TriggerPoint teaching the Level 1 Foam Rolling and Level 2 Myofacial Compression Techniques programs throughout the United States. Most recently, Tonya had the opportunity to teach coaching and sport performance techniques to 20 former Olympians and national champions from Shanghai, China in their international coaching program. She has worked with the Thailand National Sports Authority on techniques of effective coaching for their National Certificate of Coaching. She is also a member of Team River Runners, a national kayak organization that teaches wounded veterans to kayak. She is a Level 2 whitewater kayak instructor for the American Canoe and Kayak Association.

Marc Coronel (Las Vegas, NV)

Marc Coronel, B.A. (from Whittier College), is a Senior Master Course Instructor (one of nine worldwide) and conference presenter for TRX and Master Trainer/conference presenter for TriggerPoint, as well as a Master instructor for LifeFitness, who shares his passion of training, movement and education. An expert in connecting people to movement and energy, Marc is known for his presentations at NIRSA, TSI NY, ACSM, ECA and IDEA to be full of humor and empowerment as well as a sought after fitness consultant and program director worldwide as he has helped a multitude of gyms start their businesses. Marc has trained all walks of life from professional athletes, actors, models, celebrities, secret service, law enforcement, moms, dads, grandmas, and children. He believes in balance of body and mind and that nothing is impossible.

Kristen Ekiss (Waukesha, WI)

Kristen Ekiss has been a health and fitness professional since 2005. Her love for fitness grew from involvement in her command fitness program while on active duty with the Navy. After spending the bulk of her career as a personal trainer she transitioned her skills into the corporate world and grew a passion for corporate wellness. She has expertise in managing corporate programs, creating fun worksite challenges and working closely with the Human Resources team. Kristen holds BS in Sports and Fitness Management and a Masters in Health Education. Julianne Fontno (Stamford, CT)

Julianne is a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience. She has a background in Exercise Science and has worked many years in the corporate health and fitness arena. Her time as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, fitness center operator and educator has given her the knowledge and expertise to help many people reach their goals. Julianne Fontno is one of the original TriggerPoint Master Trainers who has taught dozens of Foam Rolling and MCT classes. “My approach is casual, hand-on, and practical. I like to relate the experience to each individual so they can understand the benefits in their own way,” says Julianne. In addition to teaching for TriggerPoint, Julianne is an Occupational Health Services Director in the New York/Connecticut tri-state area. She has a strong passion for helping people function better while at work and to create an overall safe and healthy work environment.

Britny Fowler (Austin, TX)

Britny has 9 years of experience in the fitness industry. The bulk of her experience includes fitness training at spas and gym, and as a presenter providing training and education of products and techniques for various education companies. She approaches each of these positions as an opportunity to educate consumers and other fitness professionals on available fitness tools and techniques that facilitate optimal health, wellness, and performance. She has a passion to coach and empower others to enrich their quality of life through movement, education, nutrition, and mid-body awareness. Britny holds a BS in Sports Management from Texas A&M, and is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist. She is a Level III Peak Pilates certified instructor trained on all levels of mat, reformer, chair and barrel. She teaches group fitness kickboxing, strength and conditioning classes, and is Schwinn Cycle Certified. Britny has appeared in the A&E series Heavy as a trainer to clients facing extreme life-threatening health consequences as a result of their obesity. The show documents the experience of incredible life-changing transformations during a six month treatment program. In her free time, Britny trains for and competes in marathons and triathlons. She qualified and ran the 2012 Boston Marathon. She also enjoys spending time her with new baby boy.

Christy Giroux (Rockville, MD)

Christy Giroux earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Ithaca College. Since entering the fitness industry in 1998, Christy has held various roles including personal trainer, fitness director, general manager, regional training specialist, and corporate program director for various large name health clubs in Washington, DC, California, and New York. She is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a personal trainer, corrective exercise specialist, golf fitness specialist, and group training specialist. Christy is also TRX Suspension Training and Rip Training qualified and is a Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach. Christy and her husband opened a fitness studio in 2012, Prime Fitness, which focuses on private training, small group training, and bootcamp programs. Aleta Goin (Salem, OR)

Aleta Goin (B.S. ExSc, NASM-CPT) is the owner of SuperFfitt - Superior Massage and Functional Fitness, a unique blend of therapeutic massage and corrective exercise/personal fitness.  She is a certified personal trainer, a licensed massage therapist with 12 years of experience in therapeutic massage working with muscular imbalances for pain relief and injury prevention, and an instructor at Oregon School of Massage.  Her education in human movement science and her own experiences as a dancer and an athlete have helped her to understand how the body functions and heals, and have deepened her understanding of how to help those who are recovering from injuries or suffering from chronic pain.

Ryan Halvorson has been involved in the fitness industry for nearly 10 years. He is a contributing editor to IDEA Health & Fitness Association, the group personal training director at Bird Rock Fit in La Jolla, California, and the founder and chief content officer of Fit Scribe Media. Alex Hernandez (Jamestown, NC)

Alex started his professional fitness career in 2008 when he decided to pay forward all of the benefits that he received as a long-time BODYPUMP® participant. He is certified in several of the LES MILLS® programs and was invited to join the National Trainer Team in 2012. Alex is a degreed Mechanical Engineer and is passionate about efficient movement. He discovered TriggerPoint and self-myofascial release after suffering with plantar fasciiitis for over 6 months. In a couple of days of self-massage, he completely eliminated all traces of pain and discomfort and has been asymptomatic since. Shortly after, he joined TriggerPoint as a Master Trainer to share his experiences with others. Alex also has certifications in Group Fitness through ACE and AFAA.

Geoff Lecovin (Bellevue, WA)

Dr. Lecovin is a chiropractor, naturopathic physician and acupuncturist. He graduated from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1990 with a BS in Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic, earned a Masters in Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in 1992, and then went on to complete the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and Masters in Acupuncture programs at Bastyr University in 1994. He holds additional certifications in exercise from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS), International Society of Sports Nutrition (CISSN) and National Academy of Sports Medicine (CPT CES PES FNS), where he is also a Master Instructor. Dr. Lecovin specializes in treating musculoskeletal pain and sports injuries by integrating trigger point acupuncture/dry needling, soft tissue release, joint manipulation, corrective exercise and nutrition. Jess Manning (Salt Lake City, UT)

Jess has been involved in sports all of his life, but only entered competitive running and multisport in the last five years. Initially he pursued it as a way to enjoy life more to the fullest, keep up with his kids, and lose some unwanted weight. Very shortly, however, he found out what he believes to be his true calling as a coach, trainer, and life-changing motivator. After competing and finding success on the local level at 5k’s, he quickly moved up the event chain and reached his goal of completing his first marathon. With that under his belt, he has since completed 9 more marathons, including the 2009 Boston Marathon, as well as 4 ultra-marathons. Rob McCullough (Huntington Beach, CA)

Robert Alexander McCullough IV is a Huntington Beach, CA. native, married & father to two boys (Cruz & Maximus), and his nickname is “Razor” Rob. Rob is a 18 year veteran of combat sports and has competed on major stages such as K-1, Dream, Bellator, WEC, King of the Cage and World Fighting Alliance. He was the Pit Fighting Championship one night 8 man Tournament (NHB) Champion. Razor has trained overseas in Thailand in Muay Thai kick boxing at SIDYTONG gym PATTAYA -98’. He is Brazilian Top Team- Jiu Jitsu Purple Belt. Currently, Rob is the Senior Director of MMA Programming for UFC Gym Corporation and Franchise Company. Razor has traveled the world as a participant and trainer as well as trained with many (UFC) Champions including Ricco Rodriguez, Kevin Randelman, Tito Ortiz and Rampage Jackson. Razor’s Muay Thai Instructional video ” Ultimate Striking” remains one of the best-selling MMA training series of all time. Rob is currently a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer, Youth Exercise Specialist, and Mixed Martial Arts Conditioning Specialist. Susane Pata (New York, NY)

Early on as a Rutgers University student, Susane discovered her passion for exercise and became a group fitness instructor for both the Rutgers Recreation Center and Johnson & Johnson’s World Headquarters Employee Fitness Centers. She ultimately turned fitness into a full-time profession in 2003 while living in San Francisco instructing, training and managing at some of the city’s most popular and well-attended fitness facilities. Susane has also recently been published in IDEA Journal on the topic of foam rolling and continues to explore writing projects in order to share her expertise regarding fitness and group training. Susane has been involved with the fitness industry for over 20 years, and believes no matter what tool or philosophy you choose to advocate, one thing remains steadfast: fitness pros should not only look to motivate at the moment, but to inspire for life.

Sylvie Patrick (Miami, FL)

Sylvie Patrick is an athlete and personal trainer who specializes in whole body vibration and functional training. She grew up in France and came to the United States in 1998. Since then, she has opened her training studio and had the opportunity to become a Master Instructor for Power Plate in 2010, Master Trainer for TriggerPoint in 2012, and recently Master Instructor for the Evidence Based Fitness Academy. She uses her experience to motivate and advise many fitness professionals to gain the confidence to open their own businesses and continue their education by adding certifications. Steve Rast (Eugene, OR)

Steve Rast is a Strength and Conditioning Coach with over a fifteen years of experience ranging from personal training, coaching athletic teams, to the running of CrossFit gyms. Steve spent seven years in the Marine Corps and played rugby at the University of Washington where he has since acted as the club's S&C Coach. He has hired and developed dozens of trainers, opened and consulted several successful gyms and now operates a 501c3 nonprofit gym focused on childhood obesity. Kolleen Riddick (Milton, GA)

Kolleen is a certified personal trainer, as well as Corrective Exercise Specialist with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a Master Trainer for TriggerPoint. Kolleen owns and directs Core Physique, a unique approach to fitness, in Alpharetta, GA that focuses on personal training, strength and conditioning, and nutrition coaching. Justin Russ (Sarasota, FL)

Justin Russ is a Strength and Conditioning Coach at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Justin is responsible for the development and implementation of strength, speed, power, movement, and regeneration programs for the Academy’s lacrosse, football, soccer and golf athletes. In addition, Justin also works as a TRX Sr. Course Instructor and TriggerPoint Master Trainer, presenting and delivering educational content for each company nationwide. Kimberly Shah (Chicago, IL)

A fitness professional since 2006, Kimberly Shah is a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor and USA Triathlon Coach in Chicago, IL.  As an athlete herself, Kimberly has traveled the globe competing in triathlons and road races of all distances from 5k to Ironman.  With a background in Eastern Medicine and Shiatsu, she started her fitness career working with Varsity Athletes at Northwestern University on injury prevention stretching based on the principles of Eastern Medicine's 5 Element Theory.  From 2006 to current, Kimberly has taught and created a variety of classes from cardio boot camp to joint mobility and stretching, swimming, indoor cycling and running.

Kyle Stull (Dallas, TX)

Kyle Stull is the Senior Master Trainer and Education Content Manager for TriggerPoint, a division of Implus LLC. In this position, Kyle collaborates with leading universities and industry professionals conducting research that provides evidence-based support for educational material that is used for both marketing and instructional purposes. Kyle is also a Faculty Instructor the National Academy of Sports Medicine since 2010, where he teaches Fitness and Corrective Exercise Workshops and contributes content for various journals and articles. Kyle has a Master’s of Science in Rehabilitation, a Bachelor's of Science in Sport Management, and is a Licensed Massage Therapist with more than 12 years of experience in personal training, corrective exercise, and manual therapy. Kyle is presently completing his Doctorate in Health Sciences in which he is focusing his research on the different types of movement assessment used by personal trainers in health clubs to provide insight on best practices. Brandon Wagner (Tucson, AZ)

Brandon has been in the fitness industry for seventeen years. He has passion for developing the skills of professionals by engaging them through fitness education and targeted personal development. He established his career as a highly-requested trainer and group instructor at Canyon Ranch, one of the world’s premier health and wellness resorts. Clients ranged from businessmen, athletes, and celebrities including Gerard Butler for the movie 300. Kyle Guay (North Vancouver, BC)

Born and raised on the North Shore of Vancouver, Kyle completed his Bachelors of Human Kinetics at UBC in 2010 and is currently working towards his masters in Exercise Science - Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention out of California U of Pennsylvania. Kyle spent his youth playing AAA hockey and elite level soccer. He made the switch to National level mountain bike racer after graduating high school.

Matt Holtzmann (Vancouver, BC)

Matt is a native of Vancouver, British Columbia.  He has spent his formative sport years playing University basketball and semi-professional baseball, and now enjoys the best of BC’s backyard snowshoeing, snowboarding and hiking.  He graduated locally with a degree in Kinesiology with special designation in Human Performance and Physiology, has had numerous studies published related to sport and conditioning and loves to be active locally in the sporting community. Matt has over 10 years of experience coaching youth, high school, college and professional athletes, and 5 years of working in the world of rehabilitation.  He’s always super pumped to meet new challenges head on, and looks forward to life’s next curveball.

Kennedy Lodato (Kitchener, ON)

Kennedy is a true fitness advocate and has been dedicated to the fitness industry for almost two and half decades. He is currently a PTS PRO TRAINER, teaching the Personal Trainer Specialist Certification course for Canada’s largest certification company, canfitpro. In addition, he is also a Master Trainer for COREFX, TriggerPoint Performance Therapy, BOSU and ViPR. Kennedy co-founded and is Director of Live Education for CFEA (Canadian Fitness Education Alliance), a fitness educational company delivering continuing education to the fitness industry. With a decade of fitness industry experience to draw on, Chaddy is a PTA Global Faculty Member, TRX and TriggerPoint Performance Master Instructor, ViPR pro trainer, SandBells and Kettlebell instructor. A former soldier, Australian Rules player and coach, and current martial artist, he has the ability to apply science to movement and make it fun.

Cedric Seah (Adelaide, SA)

Cedric has been in the fitness and health industry for more than 15 years. He is currently a Master Trainer for TriggerPoint™ and PowerPlate®. He is the owner of Core For Life, a mobile personal training and massage therapy business located in Adelaide, South Australia. Cedric focuses on client well-being and specialises in getting clients out of pain using NeuroKinetic Therapy®, Osteo-Fascial Technique with TriggerPoint™ tools, PowerPlate® and RockTape. Cedric is a ViPR™ Pro Trainer, and his endeavour to expand his toolbox has seen him completed OD on Movement, Institute of Motion and PTA Global mentorships. Krista Sirota (Melbourne VIC)

Krista was born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada. Always enthusiastic about health and work-life balance, she made the move into the fitness industry in 2002 and is passionate about helping people to keep their body running well as they age. She is the National Operations Manager for Personal Training Academy in Melbourne and a proud TriggerPoint Master Instructor.

Brendan Tuck (Wollongong, NSW)

Brendan Tuck has been in the fitness industry since 1998 and is a Master Trainer for Trigger Point Performance, The ZUU and TRX Training. Brendan is the Director of VO2 Vitality Fitness, located in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. Brendan has a background in Kyokushin Karate and specialises in training local athletes competing on the WQS Surfing Tour, Full Contact GSBA Stick Fighting, National Road & Track cyclists, Xterra Triathletes, U23 Australian Triathlon Team, AFL Premiership League and local Sporting High Schools. Shannon Pigdon (Albury, NSW)

Shannon is the COO of Lonedog, a Personal Training facility which specializes in individualizing the Group Training Experience. Shannon is also a course instructor for Kettlebells, Battling Ropes and TRX. An avid Girevoy (Kettlebell) Sport competitor, Shannon is a current athlete of the Girevoy Sports Australian National Team. Ryan Charem (Hong Kong)

Ryan is a trainer and educator in the health, fitness and wellness industry, inspiring and encouraging new and seasoned trainers into a healthier lifestyle. With his background in Nutrition, Ryan is able to give his clients a well-rounded approach to fitness and wellness. Currently a Master Trainer for NASM CPT and Fitness Nutrition courses, as well as Powerplate™ and Trigger Point™, Ryan constantly pushes his own personal boundaries to be able to bring the best this business has to offer, both from a Personal Training perspective, and an Educational point of view. Ryan is currently Director of Precision Fitness Hong Kong.

Audrey Lo (Hong Kong)

Audrey is probably one of the busiest personal trainers in Hong Kong, with a myriad of clients, group fitness classes, as well as her own personal WOD. With all this going on she still manages to teach TRX, Trigger Point, Powerplate™, and ViPR™ and in her spare time manages to travel around the world competing in CrossFit competitions. Alex Poole (Hong Kong)

Alex has over 16 years of experience in the health, fitness and elite conditioning market. A former professional rugby player, he studied his BSc in Sports Science at Loughborough University and went on to complete his MSc in Exercise Physiology and Sports Biomechanics. He was the Strength & Conditioning Coach with Gloucestershire CCC from 1998-2004 and has worked with numerous athletes in other sports including a three times X-Games Gold Medal and Olympic Bronze winning snowboarder. Edin Mehmedovic (Zagreb)

Edin was born and raised in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. He has a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology. Sport was his path from the early days, from playing handball to becoming a professional personal trainer. In over 10 years as a personal trainer, he learned that personal growth is only possible through constant education, so he became a TRX and RIP Master Trainer, Bosu certified instructor, Schwinn bronze level cycling instructor, and in the end a SMRT-CORE Master Trainer for TriggerPoint. He recognized TP products as an ideal tool for correcting postural dysfunction, not only for himself but also for his clients. Ondrej Lunga (Prague)

Ondrej holds master’s degree in Sports and has more than 20 years of experience in the fitness industry. Anette is the owner of Active Aid, the Danish TriggerPoint distributor, working on a daily basis with TriggerPoint sales. Anette is also a passionate teacher and has worked for many years with training of stability and mobility. She is a qualified sports therapist and has a large exposure in increased movement for better performance. She is a FMS 1 and FMS 2 practitioner. Kim Grandahl Papsø (Viborg)

Kim is the owner of the Active Aid, the Danish distributor for TriggerPoint, and runs the business together with Anette. Kinga Takacs (Budapest)

Kinga Takacs is Hungarian and has always been crazy about sports. She was involved in many different sports but finally became a track athlete, practicing for over 22 years. After retiring from my track, she gravitated towards fitness. Kinga graduated with Masters in PE Teaching and Track & Field Coaching from Semmelweis University and has an Associate's degree in Swim Coaching. She is a Certified TRX Course Instructor and TriggerPoint Master Trainer. In the past Kinga suffered from various injuries and therefore turned to Functional Training and began looking for methods to help with healing and recovery. Mauricio Gooiker (Apeldoorn)

With more than twenty years of experience in the fitness industry, Mauricio has been able to master a truly wide range of skills and managed to learn from the best of the best all around the world. Filipe Videira (Lisbon)

Filipe has been involved in fitness industry since 2000. The bulk of his experience includes fitness training at gyms and clinics and as a presenter providing education in assessing muscular imbalances for pain relief and injury prevention.Filipe holds a degree in sports, exercise and health science and is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist. When he finished physical therapy in 2006, Filipe started working in the world of rehabilitation. He specializes in treating musculoskeletal pain and sports injuries by integrating soft tissue release, joint manipulation, corrective exercise and nutrition to control the inflammation process. José Pedro Almieda (Lisbon)

José Pedro Almeida is an Exercise Physiologist, PhD Student in Human Motor Control and University Teacher at the University of Sports in Lisbon, Portugal. Functional Training and Low Back Pain are his passions and the main subjects of scientific research, which applies to the golf swing. He teaches internationally. He is the strength & conditioning coach of the Portuguese national golf team and several professional and amateur golfers. Clinically, José is responsible for the post rehab and back prevention programs of athletes and non-athletes where the TriggerPoint tools are fundamental. His professional scientific education is complemented with certifications from National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA-CPT), Titleist Performance Institute (TPI-CGFI), and Nike Golf/Gray Institute (NG360-GPS). Deen has been in the fitness industry for the past seven years.
