| Ultimate Six Clinic |
An Ultimate Six Clinic (U6 Clinic) concentrates on the six areas of the body that have the most influence on biomechanics and injuries. By addressing these six areas, an individual can better their biomechanics, increase performance, prevent or treat injuries, and assist in clinical therapies.
A U6 Clinic provides a basic overview of human biomechanics and muscular structure pertaining to athletics. Common biomechanical dysfunction and the associated injuries will also be covered. U6 Clinics provide a thorough understanding of what Trigger Point products do in relation to biomechanics, injury prevention and the regeneration of elasticity within muscle tissue. Participants will learn how to administer the manipulations and methodologies to themselves and to someone else.
Participants will be confident in using all of the Trigger Point products. U6 Clinics provides instruction for proper body placement in relation to the products, along with the range of motion you should take the body through when using each device.
Upon completion of a U6 Clinic, participants will feel comfortable and confident administering the specific manipulations to others. This includes hand and product placement, proper pressure, range of motion, and muscular association. This section of the course is key for all therapists, clinical assistants, trainers and coaches.
Participants will be tested on the applied knowledge gained throughout a U6 Clinic. Product placement, muscular association, biomechanical benefits, proper pressure and more will be tested. The second day focuses is on teaching the Re-Gen class, you will need to know how to manage a group class and have a turn-key response for common questions pertaining to the information addressed throughout the course.
The Biomechanical Chain Reaction: The foundation for what you will learn.
We begin with the range of motion of the foot because, no matter what, the foot is the first and last thing to hit the ground throughout the day. The way the foot hits the ground is the beginning of a biomechanical chain reaction that affects the rest of the body.
Once the foot becomes rigid or loses its natural range of motion you have to manipulate the soleus. This will release the tension and reduce the amount of scar tissue and adhesions that prevent a natural foot strike. If this is not addressed, the knee is forced to thrust forward putting a greater demand on the quad and IT band.
Once these areas lose elasticity, adhesions and scar tissue are going to limit the pliability of the muscle, shortening the distance between the pelvis and the knee, leading to pelvic tilt.
As this occurs, the psoas muscle is relied upon for core stability because it connects in your groin and at the T12 vertebra in the middle of your back. Once the psoas looses elasticity, compression on the L4-5 (lower back) region is increased along with additional pelvic tilting - leaving the upper torso positioned slightly in front of the pelvis.
This compromises the body's ability to breathe by compressing the diaphragm while additionally affecting the piriformis and pectorals. The piriformis is forced to work harder because of the body's lack of structural integrity and the loss of strength within the quad/IT band region.
The pectoral muscles are also affected due to the body's natural reaction to rotate the shoulders forward when the torso is positioned in front of the pelvis. Releasing the scar tissue within the pectoral region allows the shoulders to rotate back naturally. The lungs will bring in more oxygen and the arms will swing freely once the shoulders have released back into their natural position.
This sequence illustrates why addressing the entire biomechanical chain, not just one problem area, is important. Performing the manipulations that are taught during U6 Certification will enhance biomechanics and decrease the propensity for injury.
The diagrams below help to illustrate biomechanical dysfunction. This will be covered in detail during U6 Certification.

The U6 related to Running / Sport:
As a runner, your objective is to keep your foot on the ground for the least amount of time. The more contact you have, the more impact the body takes. By creating elasticity within specified areas, we are going to help the bodys propulsion while also enhancing structural integrity.
The U6 related to Strength Training:
From a strength training perspective, one must have the muscular elasticity to allow the fulcrums of the body to move in a non-compromised manner. Biomechanical challenges can arise due to the repetitive motion if the muscles lack elasticity. When weight is increased upon the U6 areas, and the muscle tissue is not elastic, there is a chance for injury and decreased integrity. With proper elasticity and muscular structure, the defined fulcrums can be challenged without the potentially negative results.
Precursors to TPT Manipulations: The Objective: This relates to the specific area of the body and how it relates to the associated muscle group(s).
Products needed for each manipulation: This defines the exact products you will need for each manipulation.
The Set up: Positioning of the products and the environment.
Body Position: The clients body position or your body position while performing TPT manipulations.
The Manipulations (defined in sections): This will define the exact movement the body part needs to go through when using each specific product.
Duration: The ultimate time it will take to manipulate the entire muscle group(s) being worked on related to pre and post workout and within a class atmosphere.
Injury association / Biomechanical Enhancement: We will verbally go over the injuries that can be remedied by manipulating these specific areas. You will be tested on this so notes are very important for this section. We are going to address what is causing the injury rather than just concentrating on the injury its self.
Re-Gen Therapy Class: The second day focuses is on teaching the Re-Gen class, you will need to know how to manage a group class and have a turn-key response for common questions pertaining to the information above. You must attend the first day certification to attend the Re-gen portion of the class.
Re-Gen is a unique partnership opportunity developed by Trigger Point Technologies. Trigger Point works with a personal trainers and group fitness specialists in order to create a group class focused on increasing elasticity, improving biomechanics, preventing injury and shortening recovery time for all clients/ gym members. Provision of Re-Gen is also a distinguishing characteristic for your gym or facility. This differentiation should prove useful in attracting new members or retaining current ones. Re-Gen is an excellent opportunity to introduce all of your members to the Trigger Point products, not just those with personal trainers.

| TPT Product and Methodology Integration: |
TPT products and methodologies are an assistant to what you are already
achieving as a professional. Having a clear understanding on how to
implement our products into your program is very important.
Clinical Integration and Benefits:
PT/Chiropractor/ART (clinical) and Trigger Point's synergistic nature
of methodologies allow clinical providers to integrate our products
into your practice efficiently and effectively. We believe there is a
lost opportunity for patient care within the home.
Outside of your office, your patients are unable to mirror or duplicate
therapy due to the specific nature of clinical hands-on therapies. We
are the conduit between your office and their home.
Providing patients with education and protocols to be implemented
within the home maximizes recovery and enhances clinical treatments.
Our products allow educated home-care to be a reality. These claims are
based upon clinical Trigger Point product use in association with
Chiropractic/ART/PT etc.
Trigger Point products allow providers to reduces patient wait time by
creating a functional check-in to action process for the patient. With
adequate guidance (defined by insurance based billing) patients can
check-in and immediately begin their Trigger Point treatments. Repeat
patients can begin their treatment immediately, facilitating a more
rapid flow of patients. A small area within the clinic can be
designated for multiple patients to begin their visit with Trigger
Point therapy. Billing time can begin once the patient starts such
treatments.
Clinical Business Benefits:
Once the patient learns to use the tools, the appropriate products can
be used within the home to improve the efficacy and longevity of the
Clinical treatments. Your clinic can provide retail sales of Trigger
Point products for your patients. Providing a take home
product/treatment empowers your patients to participate in their
treatment rather than just waiting to get better.
Personal Training and Gyms Integration and Benefits:
Your clients will benefit from our partnership once we integrate
